This part of the park shows different species and varieties of salix (willow). There are approximately 350 species of willows. Each of them may include several varieties.
Some are used for wicker work. Our arboretum already counts almost 100 of them, best adapted to the site. Some willows are mountain rock plants e.g. You will see "wild" willows (white willow, basketry willow...) as well as horticultural varieties (shrimp willow). We have planted new specimens since 2003. |
